For clients – Dear clients, please review the terms outlined below. If you have designated representatives or event coordinators who will be handling the cake details on your behalf, we kindly request that you send us an email authorizing them to sign this contract.
For event coordinators – Please review the terms and sign on behalf of the client. Additionally, please note that we will not be liable to engage in or discuss any cake-related details with individuals/clients other than those authorized.
Terms and Conditions
Order Booking and Confirmation
- Order Confirmation: Your order is confirmed only upon receipt of the full payment within 2 days of receiving the invoice from us. Please be aware that a date confirmation deposit payment alone does not confirm the order and the order will get cancelled automatically.
- If the final payment is missed on the initial due date, an additional 25% charge will apply to the total amount due, subject to our availability for the event date.
- Payment Issues: Should you encounter any difficulties with making the payment, we encourage you to contact us promptly and we will do our best to help with the issue.
- Payment Methods: You can make the advance payment using Cash, PayPal, Zelle, or Venmo. Details for the same would be available in your invoice.
Cake Designing
- Design Changes:
The date of your final payment serves as the deadline for any adjustments related to the cake’s size, style, or flavors. Any changes requested after this date cannot be guaranteed and may incur additional charges based on the nature of the modification.
- Cake Design Based on Customer Pictures:
If you request us to create a cake design based on a customer-provided picture or a picture from the internet, we do not assume responsibility for any copyright issues associated with that image. Should anyone inquire about copyright matters, we will direct them to you.
- Variations from Picture:
Please note that the cake may not precisely match the reference picture provided since it has been worked upon by different artists in varying environments, mediums and sizes which can lead to variations in the actual size, colors, and materials of the cake. However, we strive to achieve a look as close as possible to the original picture.
- Additional Supplies:
The Dream Cakes does not supply non-edible cake toppers, candles, serving knives, plates, tablecloths, or table decor unless explicitly confirmed in the order confirmation details.
- Color Matching:
- To achieve color matching, please provide a swatch of the shade you desire.
- We will make our best effort to match the color within three shades (darker or lighter).
- Keep in mind that exact matches can be challenging due to edible products and food-grade dyes.
- Dark colors may occasionally taste slightly bitter or stain.
Cake Pickup policy:
- The cake needs to be picked up within a 30 minute window from the pickup time mentioned in the contract. We cannot guarantee to handover the cake at another time and it will have to picked up based on our availability on that day.
- No refunds will be liable for any such delays. The Dream Cakes is not responsible for any change in the cake taste/design damages, due to any prolonged delays.
- Once the cake has been picked up, we do not hold any liability and responsibility for the condition of the cake and for any damage that might happen due to incorrect handling and storage.
Cake Care and Transportation
- Cake Transportation:
- We recommend transporting the cake exclusively in a vehicle with air conditioning (AC) on. Bicycles or motorcycles are not suitable for cake transportation.
- Handle the cake carefully, ensuring it remains level and avoiding sudden jolts or bumps during transit.
- Large Cakes:
- For larger cakes, consider having additional person/people to assist in holding or securing the cake during transport.
- Venue Preparation:
- Prior to the event, verify that the venue provides an appropriate and secure table for displaying the cake(s).
- Ideally, maintain a room temperature of 70°F or below to ensure optimal cake condition.
- Tiered Cakes:
- In the case of tiered cakes, we insert additional support (such as wooden or plastic dowels) within the cake to enhance stability.
- Please remember to remove these supports before serving the cake. Instructions for the same will be provided during cake pickup.
FOOD ALLERGY DISCLAIMER
At The Dream Cakes, we prioritize safety and quality. However, please be aware that our kitchen is not allergy-free. While we take every precaution, we cannot guarantee that our products are entirely free from ingredients that may affect individuals with food allergies.
To ensure your well-being, we recommend that you contact us via email before placing an order. Inform us of any food allergies you or your party may have. We reserve the right to decline orders for clients with serious food allergies.
Please note that The Dream Cakes does not assume liability for adverse reactions to our products. The following ingredients are commonly used in our kitchen:

Miscellaneous
- Photography and Display Rights:
- We capture photographs of our cakes and reserve the right to use them for display or promotional purposes without providing compensation to you.
- Cake Photographs:
- Upon request, we can share photographs of your cake, however, please note that these images will include our logo.
- Preserving the Element of Surprise:
- We’ve observed the joy and excitement on our clients’ faces when they see the finished cakes.To preserve this delightful surprise, we do not provide in-progress pictures while working on your cake.
- Contingencies: The performance of this agreement is contingent upon ‘The Dream Cakes’ ability to fulfill the terms in this document and is subject to factors beyond our control, including labor disputes, strikes, accidents, Acts of God, and other unforeseen circumstances.
Communication After Order Confirmation:
- Following order confirmation, we may not be able to provide frequent progress updates via messaging or email.
- We do understand the excitement and anxiety since it is a big event for you. However, rest assured, during this time, we are diligently planning, procuring materials, arranging components, and working on edible elements.
- Our utmost care and effort go into creating the best cake for your event.
Cancellation policy?
- In the event of cancellation, payments and deposits are non-refundable and will not be issued under any circumstances. However, if the cancellation occurs within 90 days of the event date, you have the option to reschedule the date, subject to our availability, with an additional 25% charge applied to the total.
- Please note that The Dream Cakes reserves the right to cancel your order due to unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, you will receive written notification, and your deposit will be refunded within 15-20 days of the cancellation.
Kindly read the Terms & Policies on this page and agree to the same before placing the cake order. Completing the payment for the cake order indicates that you agree to the terms on this page and agree to the following:
I do acknowledge that it is my responsibility to check the design details shared and terms on this page to ensure all details are correct. If changes to this cake details are needed, I do acknowledge that it is my responsibility to notify The Dream Cakes in writing as soon as possible of the changes. I do understand that the cake details (flavors, styles, sizes, etc.) stated on my design details (shared with the client via email/message) will supersede any verbal or other written communications. In other words, if it is not on my design details document, it will not be on my cake. I give some degree of artistic license concerning my cake design to The Dream Cakes.
“I agree to the terms set out in this document and agree that I am the person responsible for all payments and decisions regarding this cake order.”
